Job summary

Overlake Medical Center’s Labor & Delivery unit is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to perform clerical, coordinating and communication duties to support unit operations. The role involves supporting a 6-bed medical screening observation room, 12 private labor, delivery and recovery suites, three ORs and NICU access.

The position offers a night shift on 12-hour shifts (1815 - 0645) with 9 FTE over two weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or in a related field preferred.
• Exceptional customer services skills and strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Effective organization and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with computers required.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Overlake Medical Center's Labor & Delivery unit has an exciting opportunity for a Health Unit Coordinator! The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical, coordinating and communication activities to support unit operations.

Our Labor and Delivery Department includes a 6-bed medical screening observation room along with 12 private labor, delivery and recovery suites with bedside newborn admits. The unit also features 3 operating rooms for Caesarean section deliveries and 3 PACU recovery rooms. In addition, we also have direct access to our NICU.

• 9 FTE (72 hours per two-week pay period)

Night shift

12-hour shifts (1815 - 0645)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or experience in a related field preferred
• Exceptional customer services skills and strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Effective organization and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with computers required
• EPIC experience preferred
