Job summary

Overlake Medical Center's Labor & Delivery unit has an exciting opportunity for a Health Unit Coordinator. The Health Unit Coordinator performs clerical, coordinating and communication activities to support unit operations, including obstetric care and nursery access.

Night shift 12-hour shifts (1815 - 0645) at 0.9 FTE. High school diploma required; EPIC experience preferred and strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a Health Unit Coordinator or related field preferred.
• Exceptional customer service and strong communication in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Effective organization and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with computers required.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clerical tasks to support unit operations.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, staff and families.
• Assist with patient flow and unit coordination as needed.
