Responsibilities

• Uses current technology to transcribe orders, maintain the integrity of the patient medical record, and gathers/enters and credits patient charges.
• Plans, organizes, and implements the non‑nursing functions to facilitate workflow, enhance productivity
• Under the direction of the RN, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the HUC role in the team delivery or patient care
• Preforms clerical and reception duties

Requirements

• High School graduate; verifiable satisfactory completion of Health Unit Coordinator course or equivalent previous on‑the‑job experience is a must to apply.
• Legible handwriting; knowledge of medical terminology; demonstrated organizational skill; display of proper telephone etiquette; ability to communicate with people in a tactful manner.
