Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Health Unit Coordinator for the Cardiac Outpatient Unit on a full-time days schedule. The role supports the nursing team with clerical duties, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:00pm at the Heart Center Downtown.

Responsibilities include answering call lights and phones, maintaining patient chart folders, managing unit supplies, greeting patients and visitors, and upholding service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Health Unit Coordinators are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit.
• Answering call lights and phone calls promptly.
• Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment.
• Maintaining patient chart folders.
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service-excellence principles.
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
