Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the Behavioral Health Unit. This PRN Days role runs 10:30am-7:00pm and is based at Baptist Downtown.

You will perform clerical tasks on the nursing unit, answer call lights and calls promptly, manage supplies, maintain patient chart folders, greet customers, and support service excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights and phone calls promptly.
• Order and inventory unit supplies and equipment.
• Maintain patient chart folders.
• Greet and assist all customers while upholding service excellence.
• Maintain a neat and orderly nursing station.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Health Unit Coordinator role is a PRN Days position working 10:30am-7:00pm and is located at the Baptist Downtown (Jacksonville, FL).

Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit.

• Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
• Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
• Maintaining patient chart folders
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Experience Requirements: None Education & Credential Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Required Associate's Degree Preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
