Job summary

CentraCare Health at St. Cloud Hospital seeks a Health Unit Coordinator for its Float Pool. The HUC serves as the communication link for the unit, greeting patients and families, handling calls, maintaining charts, and performing clerical duties to support patient care.

The role floats to all inpatient units, with part-time night shifts (7pm–7:30am) and every third weekend/holiday policy per unit. Starting hourly pay is $20.31, with increases based on experience and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as National Health Unit Coordinator preferred.
• One year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Orientation and training will be given to obtain the desired entry level competence, in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, guests and providers.
• Manage telephone communications and clerical duties.
• Organize and maintain patient charts for care teams.
• Support unit operations as the HUC while floating to all inpatient units.

Find your purpose at CentraCare as a Health Unit Coordinator with our Float Pool! As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care. In this role, you will float to all in-patient units at the hospital. This position will float to all units at St. Cloud Hospital.

Schedule:

• Part-time |36 hours every two weeks | Nights | 12-hrshifts | 7pm-7:30am
• Every 3rd weekend and holidays per unit policy

Pay Information

• Starting pay begins at $20.31 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range: $20.31 - $30.47 per hour
