Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Birth Center at St. Cloud Hospital. The role involves greeting and assisting patients and families, managing calls, and organizing patient charts to support care. On-site, part-time shifts with day and night rotations are available.

Starting pay is competitive, with benefits including medical/dental/PTO and tuition programs. Prior office experience and medical terminology knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, guests and providers on the Birth Center unit.
• Manage telephone communications and routing as needed.
• Organize and maintain patient charts and clerical/receptionist duties to support patient care.

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the Birth Center, you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

Schedule

• Part-time | 48-60 hours every two weeks | Onsite
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts | 7am-7:30pm & 7pm-7:30am
• Every 3rd weekend (Fri-Sun) | holidays per unit policy

Pay and Benefits

• Starting pay begins at $20.41 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range: $20.31-$30.47
