Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Birth Center at St Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud, MN. You will serve as the communication hub for the unit, greeting patients and families, handling calls, and supporting care teams with chart organization and clerical tasks.

The position offers part-time hours (48-60 per two weeks) onsite with 12-hour day/night rotations, every 3rd weekend, and holiday coverage per unit policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge required.
• One year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, families, guests and providers.
• Manage telephone communications and inquiries.
• Organize and maintain patient charts and records.
• Perform clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the Birth Center, you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

• Schedule
  • Part-time | 48-60 hours every two weeks | Onsite
  • 12-hour rotating day/night shifts | 7am-7:30pm & 7pm-7:30am
  • Every 3rd weekend (Fri-Sun) | holidays per unit policy
• Pay and Benefits
  • Starting pay begins at $20.41 per hour and increases with experience
    • Pay range: $20.31-$30.47
