The role requires 3-4 years of medical office/hospital experience, typing with medical terminology, and strong English communication with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy setting. Full-time, day shift, with no weekends or holidays.

As a Health Unit Coordinator at MercyOne, you will perform clerical duties that support the daily activities of nursing units. Works cooperatively with the nursing staff and other health team members to enhance quality patient care and patient satisfaction. In addition, these incumbents function as Patient Care Assistants. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, works collaboratively with the health care team to provide outcome-based patient care.
Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties.
