MercyOne Health System is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator to provide clerical support on nursing units, acting as receptionist and aiding patient care delivery under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
You will work closely with the health care team to ensure timely communication, manage messages, answer calls, greet patients and visitors, and maintain computer applications across units.

As a Health Unit Coordinator at MercyOne, you will perform clerical duties that support the daily activities of nursing units. Works cooperatively with the nursing staff and other health team members to enhance quality patient care and patient satisfaction. In addition, these incumbents function as Patient Care Assistants. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, works collaboratively with the health care team to provide outcome-based patient care. Schedule: Full time, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) Day shift 6:00am - 6:30pm Weekend and holiday rotation
