Meriter Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Labor and Delivery. The position is 0.7 FTE with day/evening shifts, under RN supervision, performing basic nursing assistant procedures taught in training and certification programs.

The role emphasizes medical asepsis, patient dignity, and adherence to safety policies while supporting team members. Availability in the first week for orientation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• State of Wisconsin certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• CPR certification is required or eligible for certification.

Shift:Every other Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Every Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM with rotating holidays
The Nursing Assistant (CNA) practices and performs the basic nursing assistant procedures which were taught during their outside training and certification program. The CNA is expected to practice medical asepsis, respect the dignity and privacy of every patient, maintain objectivity during patient care, adhere to basic hospital safety policies and procedures, and practice within their scope of training. The CNA works under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse. The CNA receives specific work assignments that are both written and oral with the expectation to complete the work assignment within their scheduled shift.
