Job summary

Genesee County Health Department seeks an individual to perform clinical duties including vision and hearing screening in school and community settings, with supervision. This role includes health screenings, data collection, and coordination with families and schools.

Candidate should have a high school diploma and at least two years of clerical experience; Medical Assistant training is preferred. Work may occur at the Health Department or in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates office and medical equipment.
• Assists clients with forms and information.
• Maintains and reviews clinical records.
• Schedules client appointments.
• Schedules and conducts hearing and vision screening.
• Measures heights and weights and other health screenings.
• Prepares health screening evaluations and reports to parents/school officials.
• Refer clients failing screenings for follow-up.
• Collaborates with school staff on clinics.
• Performs laboratory screening procedures.
