Community of Peace Academy is an urban public charter school located on the East Side of St. Paul, Minnesota, serving over 850 students in grades PreK to 12. The 2025-2026 school year marks our 31st year. We foster academic excellence and character development through the education of the whole person—mind, body, and will. We are seeking a Health and Wellness teacher for grades 6-12. The position involves teaching three high school elective classes—two sections of health and one of CPR, First Aid, and Emergency Skills—and three health and wellness classes to grades 6-8.

The ideal candidate will hold a MN Teaching license in Health Education, have the ability to build rapport with diverse learners, and demonstrate a strong commitment to helping all students achieve high academic and ethical standards.

At CPA, we emphasize community building and character development through positive relationships. We implement Responsive Classroom across Elementary School and Developmental Designs in Middle and High School. All teachers receive support through weekly PLCs, observations, and coaching. New teachers are assigned a mentor for professional growth.
