Summer School Elementary Teacher - Music 24-25

Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Summer School Principal, the Elementary Summer School Teacher will be responsible for team planning and teaching, developing and implementing instructional plans, supervising support assistants, evaluating the program, and concluding the program.

Program Philosophy

It is our belief that all children, regardless of their ability or background, can learn at high levels. Summer school will focus on basic skills instruction tailored to student needs in reading, math, written language, and social skills.

Required Qualifications

• Current Minnesota Music Teaching License

Expectations

A commitment to the entire summer session is expected, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Teaching Dates

• June 16-18, June 23-26, & June 30-July 3, 2025 (Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. prep; 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. instruction)
• Additional time: 1 hour on July 3 for student Learning Plans
• Staff meeting: 30 minutes in May
• Preparation time: 5.5 hours

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $37.00 (per Master Agreement). This position does not qualify for benefits unless you are already a contracted employee.
