Job summary

Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a health IT professional to serve as a primary contributor and consultant for planning, design, development, and evaluation of integrated health information systems that support patient care, administration, and outcomes.

The role coordinates support for new and current applications, delivers end-user training, assesses health system environments, and researches complex solutions to improve clinical documentation, reporting, and system

Qualifications

• A college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required, along with four years of experience in Information Technology (preferably within Health System Operations), including a blend of clinical and IT experience.
• Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system knowledge is required, with Epic certification in Clinical Documentation, ASAP, and/or Reporting. A strong reporting background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contributor and consultant for planning, design, development, implementation, functionality, and evaluation of integrated health information systems that support practice, admin, management, and patient outcomes.
• Coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications and software upgrades applicable to the health system.
• Advise on end-user training for health system applications to ensure understanding of functionality and training program design.
