Job summary

Aon is seeking a Health Solutions Assistant Vice President or Vice President, Financial Manager to oversee financial activities for assigned clients within health analytics. The role interfaces with client teams and stakeholders to support better decisions.

Responsibilities include monthly/quarterly reporting, input for pricing and actuarial models, and advanced Excel data analysis, with opportunities to contribute to health reform impact modeling and pricing analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health or willingness to obtain license as soon as possible.
• Eight plus years health and benefits underwriting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all financial activities for assigned clients.
• Prepare regular (monthly or quarterly) financial reporting packages for clients, leveraging existing templates.
• Assist in collecting and completing input for various financial models such as Incurred But Not Reported Claims model, Actuarial Value Plan Model and Pricing Models.
• Analyze ad hoc data using advanced functions in Excel and effectively communicate findings with both internal client team and stakeholders at the client.
• Conduct ad-hoc projects as needed using appropriate resources (Health Care Reform impactmodeling, plan changes, self-funded vs. fully insured analysis, etc.).
• Develop executive summary on all key financial components of marketing andprovide recommendations.
• Review financial caveats, deviations and other notes in proposals, addappropriate notes to the client RFP results presentation.
• Review insurance carrier renewal calculations for medical, dental, vision, life and disability and identify areas for negotiation.

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Health Analytics. This role will assist the lead actuary and consultants on assigned large accounts and manage/lead smaller actuarial engagements.

Skills and Expertise That Will Lead to Success:

• Eight plus of years health and benefits underwriting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency in self-insured and fully insured funding arrangements
• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• License or Certificate Requirements:
• Appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health or willingness to obtain license as soon as possible

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130k-$180k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
