Qualifications

• Eight plus years health and benefits underwriting experience, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency in self-insured and fully insured funding arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all financial activities for assigned clients.
• Prepare regular (monthly or quarterly) financial reporting packages for clients using existing templates.
• Assist in input for various financial models such as IBNR, Actuarial Value Plan, and Pricing Models.
• Analyze ad hoc data in Excel and communicate findings to internal clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc projects (Health Care Reform modeling, plan changes, self-funded vs fully insured analysis).
• Develop executive summaries on key financial components and provide recommendations.
• Review insurance carrier renewal calculations and identify negotiation opportunities.
