Job summary

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of advising experience or 2 years in education.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills; professional demeanor.
Ability to interact with administrators, faculty, students, applicants and alumni.
Ability to multitask and handle confidential issues with discretion.
Attention to detail and strong data management abilities.

Responsibilities

Advise students on program and graduation requirements and college procedures.
Process registration and academic forms (add/drop, cross-registration, etc.).
Provide timely referrals for tutoring, career planning, mental health, or other needs.
Monitor progress using student data systems to support early intervention.
Collaborate with directors, faculty advisors, and coordinators on progress and policies.
Coordinate advising-related components of orientation for new and transfer students.
Support accessibility accommodations and testing needs as required.
