Job summary

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is seeking a Health Science Core Instructor to teach Health Sciences Core, Patient Care, and Phlebotomy courses at the Valdosta campus and nearby high schools. You will ensure adherence to program standards, manage gradebooks, and apply effective teaching methods.

The role requires a nursing or health care degree with relevant certifications and prior teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Associate’s Degree in Nursing or other health care profession from a regionally accredited institution; three (3) years employment experience in the field within the past seven (7) years.
• Current nationally recognized organization certification in LPN, RN, Medical Laboratory or Medical Assistant.
• Teaching experience in nursing or Health Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Instruct health science core, patient care assisting/nurse aide, and phlebotomy courses at the Valdosta campus and local high schools.
• Evaluate student progress, clinical performance, and procedural competencies.
• Maintain gradebooks, records, and course documentation; follow approved syllabus.
• Ensure safety and security in the training area and manage instructional resources.
