Job summary

UC Irvine’s Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing seeks a Health Sciences Clinical Professor (Assistant rank) to teach in the DNP and DNP/APRN programs and to practice as a nurse practitioner in SON faculty practice settings.

The candidate will hold a PhD, DNP, or EdD, maintain an active CA RN license and NP certification, and demonstrate strong clinical, teaching, and scholarly abilities while collaborating with diverse colleagues and students.

Qualifications

• PhD, DNP, or EdD required.
• Active California RN license required.
• CA NP certification in family practice/lifespan or adult-gerontology primary care.
• CA furnishing license required.
• National board certification from ANCC or AANPCB/NPCB as FNP or AGNP required.
• Experience in didactic and clinical teaching.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a family NP or AGNP.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical and didactic courses in DNP and DNP/APRN programs.
• Clinical precepting of nurse practitioner students.
• Mentoring DNP students.
• Provide service to school, university, and profession.
• Engage in scholarly activities.
