Qualifications

• PhD, DNP, or EdD degree.
• Active California RN license.
• Active California NP certification in family practice/lifespan or adult-gerontology primary care.
• Active California furnishing license.
• National board certification from ANCC or AANPCB/NPCB as FNP or AGPCNP.
• Experience in didactic and clinical teaching.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a family nurse practitioner or adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Teaching clinical and didactic courses in the DNP and DNP/APRN programs.
• Clinical precepting of nurse practitioner students.
• Mentoring DNP students.
• Providing service to the school, university, and profession.
• Engaging in scholarly activities.

Education
