We are currently seeking a Health & Safety Specialist. In this role, you will develop and implement environmental, health, safety, and sustainability systems and programs in line with company principles, legal requirements, and best practices. Your goal will be to prevent employee injuries, environmental damage, minimize business impact from foreseeable losses, and ensure compliance with legal and company standards. You will continually improve the system based on audit results, incident investigations, and business changes. Additionally, you will serve as a professional sustainability reference and contact point, planning, executing, and monitoring sustainability activities to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Strategy Implementation: Guide managers and supervisors in implementing sustainability policies, raising awareness to meet objectives.
  2. Management Arrangements: Develop, monitor, and improve sustainability management systems, ensuring protection of people and the environment, and compliance with regulations.
  3. Risk Management: Execute proactive loss prevention, conduct inspections and audits, stay updated with regulations and technology, ensure contractor compliance, and collaborate on health issues.
  4. Training Development: Create and update sustainability training modules, maintain records, and ensure understanding of sustainability responsibilities.
  5. Performance and Reporting: Report on sustainability performance indicators accurately and timely.
  6. Projects: Support sustainability projects, monitor equipment certification, and coordinate waste and emission reduction programs.
  7. Incident Management and Emergency Preparedness: Investigate incidents, maintain records, and test emergency response plans.
  8. Performance Improvement: Identify needs and propose solutions to enhance sustainability performance, develop projects, and monitor their execution.
Qualifications:
  • College/University degree in Science/Engineering, preferably in Sustainability-related fields.
  • 1-5 years of experience in health and safety or manufacturing, with knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Annual Base Salary Range: $81,000 - $108,000
