Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Managing Consultant, Health & Safety in the Northeastern US to lead innovative safety programs and elevate client performance. You will mentor teams, shape risk-based strategies, and advise on complex regulatory and technical challenges.

Travel regionally and nationally up to 50–70% as needed. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• 4+ years of health and safety consulting or industry experience.
• Strong understanding of US federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally (up to 50-70%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement health and safety strategies across risk assessment, safety management systems, industrial hygiene, chemical management, and process safety.
• Lead audits, assessments, and program improvements across various safety disciplines.
• Partner with clients to identify compliance gaps and implement practical corrective actions.
• Analyze field data to evaluate conditions, communicate findings, and recommend solutions.
• Deliver training and field coaching to improve safety performance.
• Build trusted client relationships and mentor colleagues to grow ERM’s Health & Safety practice in the Northeast.
