Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, Texas is seeking an Engineer, Health & Safety to help improve hazard controls and safety culture within our advanced semiconductor facility. You will work as part of a safety team to identify risks, develop control designs, and educate peers.

Responsibilities include conducting incident investigations, site inspections, training employees on safety requirements, and supporting audits of pre-task plans, risk analyses, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with coursework or internship involving Python, CAD tools or controls.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, LabVIEW, MATLAB, CFD/FEA modeling.
• Experience applying safety programs, hazard controls, and risk reduction in a manufacturing or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Improve and control processes or products at SAS facilities with safety focus.
• Identify risks, develop hazard controls, and educate others to strengthen safety culture.
• Conduct incident investigations, site inspections, and root-cause analyses.
• Assist with pre-task plans, risk analyses, SOPs, and audit programs.
• Provide employee training on site safety requirements and monthly safety subcommittee meetings.
