Job summary

St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Boise seeks a Health Record Specialist to join our team. Under general supervision, you will scan and index documents from ambulatory clinics and hospitals, ensuring accurate and timely processing of health records.

This onsite role Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. involves ROI requests, obtaining outside records, assisting clinic staff with In Basket messages, supporting providers, answering calls, and monthly chart prep for appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Scanning and indexing patient documentation into the electronic health record.
• Processing Release of Information (ROI) requests.
• Requesting and obtaining outside medical records.
• Assisting clinic staff with In Basket message management.
• Supporting providers and staff with patient record needs daily.
• Answering and assisting with phone calls.
• Providing immediate support for clinic workflow needs as they arise.
• Monthly chart preparation for clinic appointments.
