Job summary

CPCD seeks a Health Administrator to ensure health and wellness for children and compliance with state regulations and Head Start standards. You will review health records, determine health requirements, and collaborate with families, teachers, and departments to keep records current.

The role involves data reporting, communication on deadlines, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive early childhood program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Typing 50 wpm accurately and experience operating general office equipment.
• Interpret records accurately and navigate complex data.
• Form professional and collaborative relationships with parents, children, and staff.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Flexible and able to meet timelines.
• Communicate in a kind and firm demeanor to families.
• Minimum of two years of experience managing and maintaining records and filing systems.
• Pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check per Head Start standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess medical records of newly enrolled children to determine health status and access to care.
• Obtain enrollment documentation through thorough communication with families, coworkers, and health partners.
• Monitor and process organization-wide email communications for continuity of services and timely updates of student records.
• Monitor and ensure up-to-date health statuses by generating data reports biweekly.
• Provide written communication on health deadlines to families, teachers, and support staff.
