Job summary

County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services, Office of Diversion and Reentry, seeks qualified candidates for Emergency Health Program Analyst I vacancies addressing homelessness. Under an emergency order, initial appointments may last up to 90 days with a potential path to permanent County employment.

Appointees will be assessed on performance, and successful candidates may transition to permanent appointment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Sciences, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, or related field AND two years of experience at the Management Analyst level in mental health or public health program analysis.
Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Option II requires four years of experience in mental health or public health program analysis, two years at Management Analyst level.

Responsibilities

Participates in planning, administering, and evaluating mental health and public health programs.
Assists with development and evaluation of health-focused program policies, goals, and objectives.
Assists with grants development, monitoring, and compliance.
Coordinates budgets for programs and monitors expenditures.
Evaluates contract activities for quality assurance and compliance.
