Job summary

UMass Chan Medical School in Westborough, MA seeks a Research & Evaluation Consultant to lead program evaluation and research for the ForHealth Consulting unit. You will design studies, collaborate with clients, and disseminate findings through reports and presentations.

The role requires a Ph.D. in a health-related field or equivalent experience, strong quantitative/qualitative methods, and experience with Medicaid/Medicare programs and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of program evaluation/research methods (quantitative, qualitative, mixed).
• Dissemination of evaluation/research findings through publications and presentations.
• Experience with public programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.
• Ability to facilitate meetings with executive management and external partners.
• Budgeting experience and understanding of financial management for projects.
• Understanding of data security and privacy policies.
• Strong communication and collaboration with researchers, staff, clients.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design and implementation of evaluation/research projects for health and social programs.
• Provides scientific direction to R&E projects and analytic staff.
• Identifies opportunities and potential funding sources; leads proposal development.
• Works with R&E staff to develop budgets and manage project finances.
• Participates in dissemination activities: client presentations, conferences, publications.
• Supports professional development of R&E staff.
• Contributes to strategic planning with leadership to implement vision.
• Provides methodological support to evaluation/research across units.
• Performs related duties as required.
