Job summary

UMass Chan Medical School's ForHealth Consulting unit seeks a Research & Evaluation Consultant to lead evaluation and research activities. You will design and manage projects, define questions with clients, implement study designs, and summarize findings for diverse audiences, including academic journals.

The role requires a PhD and experience disseminating results through multiple channels, plus expertise in SAS, SPSS, Atlas.ti, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated record of using a variety of program evaluation/research methods (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods).
• Dissemination of findings through publications, presentations, policy briefs, webinars, and other mechanisms.
• Experience with public programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and build productive relationships with executive management, government officials, and private contractors.
• Experience with computer-based analytics tools (SAS, SPSS, Atlas ti) and MS Office suite.
• Understanding of data security and privacy policies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to collaborate with researchers, staff, clients and partners.
• Demonstrated management skills and budgeting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design and implementation of evaluation/research projects for health and social programs.
• Provide scientific direction to R&E projects and analytic staff.
• Identify opportunities and funding sources; support proposal writing and capture planning.
• Collaborate with business staff to develop budgets and manage project finances.
• Engage in dissemination activities: client presentations, conferences, publications, site visits.
• Support professional development of R&E staff.
• Assist in strategic planning with leadership to implement vision.
• Provide methodological support to other CWM units.
• Perform related duties as required.
