The RAND Corporation is a nonprofit institution that helps improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis. RAND Health is a research division of RAND that strengthens health care systems and the societal conditions that support health, in the United States and internationally.

The Vice President leads a broad portfolio and participates in RAND’s senior management, with a 5-year term and potential renewal.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and management across large multidisciplinary teams.
Recognized expert in health policy or health services research.
Proven track record in engaging senior officials with sponsors and partners.
Excellent analytic skills and ability to oversee diverse methodologies.
Experience applying AI-enabled research tools to policy research.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for Health Division activities and ensure research quality and performance.
Lead the division’s management team and program directors.
Develop and execute strategic plans, priorities, staffing, and talent development.
Oversee research portfolio across health financing, services, and population health.
Build strategic relationships with government agencies, foundations, and health systems.
Represent RAND on health and health care policy to senior officials.
