RAND Corporation's Health Division seeks a Vice President to oversee a broad portfolio of active research projects and generate annual revenue of approximately $85-90 million. As a member of RAND's senior management team, the Vice President participates in corporate decision making and collaborates with leaders across the organization.

This is a 5-year term position, with a possible 2-year renewal. Position responsibilities are expected to require 100% of the VP's time, emphasizing strategic

Formación

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required; a Ph.D. or M.D. is preferred.
• Experience equivalent to RAND senior-level researcher with 10+ years developing policy or conducting policy analysis.
• Experience managing complex teams in a client-oriented environment.
• Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time.

Responsabilidades

• Provide executive leadership for Health Division activities, with accountability for research quality, business development, talent, and organizational performance.
• Lead the division's management team, including the associate division director, program directors, quality assurance, and operations leaders.
• Develop and execute the division's strategic plan, including research priorities, business strategy, staffing plans, and talent development.
• Oversee the division's research portfolio spanning health care financing and organization, health services and outcomes, and population health, ensuring methodological rigor and alignment with RAND's broader strategic objectives.
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with government agencies, foundations, health systems, and other organizations as sponsors and partners.
• Collaborate with RAND research division leaders and departments to strengthen business development, expand policy impact, and support research staff management and development.
• Represent RAND as a principal spokesperson on health and health care policy to senior officials and other key stakeholders.
