Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bilingual Spanish-English skills required; Mixteco a plus.
• Commitment to MICOP’s mission.
• Must be able to inspire others to volunteer and contribute time and effort.

Responsibilities

• Lead advocacy efforts to improve health policies and programs.
• Collaborate with health care, government agencies, partners, and Indigenous communities to expand access to quality care.
• Meet biweekly with CPEHN to co-develop campaign strategies and deliverables.
• Coordinate shared priorities, timelines and expectations with CPEHN and supervisor.
• Organize and mobilize coalition members for campaign activities, including story collection and public comments.
• Lead and organize legislative visits, rallies, and press conferences; recruit community leaders.
• Support statewide campaigns to defend Medi-Cal and promote people-centered health care reforms.
