A leading architecture firm is seeking a Health Planner II based in Houston, Texas. Health Planner II

Join us as a Health Planner 2 at HDR.

In this role you will:

  • Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects.
  • Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings.
  • Prepare drawings and specification documents.
  • Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials.
  • Understand healthcare trends.
  • Assist the lead Health Planner in the preparation of presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives.
  • Assist in coordinating all disciplines related to building design and health planning.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Strong computer skills in AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, MS Office, Blue Beam.
  • Architectural registration.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the healthcare architecture field, with 3 years exclusively as a Health Planner.
  • Advanced credentials desired (e.g., ACHA, LEED, EDAC).
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the A/E industry.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models.
  • Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and flexible.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction of buildings.

Salary Range: California: $99,946 – $168,740; Illinois: $99,946 – $142,780; Massachusetts: $109,032 – $155,760; New York: $113,575 – $162,250; Washington State: $113,575 – $162,250.
