Job summary

University Health in the United States is seeking a health data analyst to lead research, data collection and analysis of health plan data, with focus on cost savings, utilization management and market share. The role acts as a SME and coach to CFHP analysts and serves as the primary resource to improve organizational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics or related field required.
• Two years experience conducting data analysis in a managed care environment preferred.
• Eight (8) years experience in a relational database environment (MS SQL Server 2005/2008 or Oracle) may substitute for the educational requirement.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word required.
• Experience with SQL or Oracle databases and ESRI Business Analyst preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, data collection and analysis of health plan data to identify cost savings, utilization management, satisfaction and market share.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and coach to other CFHP analysts.
• Act as primary health plan resource to analyze and improve organizational performance.
• Identify areas for improvement, document business processes, research best practices and assist process owners to implement change and monitor performance.
• Interact extensively with other CFHP departments.
