Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Health Physics Manufacturer Manager I to lead and coordinate radiation protection activities in TA-55, reporting to MM3. The role supports programmatic, maintenance, and construction work, mentoring RCTs and ensuring readiness of permits and documents for safe execution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Radiological Protection Program management in a high hazard environment.
• Experience planning and managing tactical execution ensuring radiological controls are applied.
• Experience directing multidisciplinary teams for radiation protection to ensure compliance with procedures and 10 CFR 835.
• Knowledge of responding to radiological incidents and emergencies.
• Ability to build a cohesive high performing team and oversee daily work to meet deliverables.
• Fosters continuous improvement and organizational learning for safe work.

Responsibilities

• Lead supervision and assist management in oversight of Radiation Protection Program.
• Coordinate Radiological Control Technician resources and work execution.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to RCTs and respond to radiological incidents.
• Ensure work documents and permits are ready and available for tasks.
• Collaborate with programmatic, maintenance, and construction personnel to apply radiological controls.
