Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, HI, seeks a Health Physicist under the Upward Mobility Program to manage radiological health duties and exposure controls in assigned projects.

The position requires a strong background in health physics and related sciences, with eligibility for telework and a Secret clearance. The role is open under the Fed Transition path and offers a posted pay range, with responsibilities under the Radiation Health Division and Radiological Controls Department at Pearl

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a natural science or engineering with at least 30 semester hours in health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics or calculus.
• Certification as a health physicist by ABHP, plus appropriate experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Perform health physicist duties related to control of radioactivity and personnel exposure to ionizing radiation in assigned project areas.
