Job Description

The Radiation Health Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Health Physicist to join the team! The Health Physicist is an integral member of the Radiation Health team. The Health Physicist in this position has the role of managing the area monitoring dosimetry program and qualifying in advanced external dosimetry. Additionally, the candidate will have other exciting roles such as report writing, environmental dosimetry monitoring, and emergency response. There are also other opportunities to expand learning and expertise in other areas of Health Physics. The successful candidate should have strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.

Pay Range

$70,900.00 - $108,500.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
