Job summary

Grace Adventures in Michigan seeks a compassionate Health Care Coordinator for seasonal camps and guest groups. You will oversee medications, basic injury care, and emergency readiness, ensuring compliance with state licensing and camp policies while ministering to campers and staff.

You will inventory first aid supplies, enter injuries and treatments, secure medicines, and support a safe Health Office environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Implement a quality health care program meeting state licensing requirements.
• Inventory and stock first aid supplies.
• Enter injuries, treatments, and medication into the digital record.
• Report serious injuries or diseases to the director and state as required by law.
• Distribute medications according to prescriptions.
• Handle emergencies per posted medical procedures in the nurses’ station.
• Keep medications and supplies secured.
• Make purchases as budgeted and directed.
• Care for bodily fluid cleanup per procedures.
• Maintain a clean, professional Health Office environment.
• Minister to campers and staff physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
• Assist with housekeeping to meet standards of excellence.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by overseeing the collection, storage, and distribution of camper and staff medications, assess and provide care for minor injuries at camp, and be equipped to leverage the appropriate resources for major emergencies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help run camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence
• Complete staff training and follow all camp policies
• Stay physically and spiritually fit to minister
• Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Implement a quality health care program that is safe, promotes health and safety practices, and meets state licensing requirements and laws.
• Inventory and stock all necessary first aid supplies.
• Enter all injuries, first aid treatments, and medication in the digital
• Report all serious injuries or diseases to the director and to the state (as required by law)
• Distribute all medication according to the prescription
• Handle all emergencies according to the emergency medical procedures posted in the nurses’ station.
• Keep all medications and supplies secured
• Make purchases as budgeted and directed
• Follow procedures to care for bodily fluid clean up
• Maintain a clean, professional environment in the Health Office
• Minister to campers and staff physical, emotional and spiritual needs through relationships
• Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence
• Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Knowledge and love for God's Word
• Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions.
