Job summary

The role includes 80% direct student support, 15% health office tasks, and 5% professional development. Requires a High School diploma and Personal Care Assistance Training; prior school experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Complete Personal Care Assistance Training prior to working with students.
• Previous experience in school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers first aid to sick or injured students according to School District and State guidelines.
• Administers medications authorized by a physician and in compliance with State guidelines; observes students for medication reactions.
• Assists with health and wellness screenings as necessary.
• Collaborates and communicates with teachers to support individual health plans.
• Maintains current health and accident information on students; completes reports and logs within the database.
