The Department of Health for the State of Alaska seeks an IT Systems Administrator at levels 1/2/3 in Juneau, Anchorage, or Fairbanks. You will design modern, secure infrastructure to support health systems and ensure HIPAA-compliant architecture across state operations.

You will build and optimize Microsoft Fabric to unify data, enable AI via Azure, and automate workflows with Power Platform while strengthening cyber resilience for public health systems statewide.

Qualifications

• Hardware, infrastructure design, OS, and systems integration competencies.
• Experience with security/hardening and HIPAA-aware architecture.
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructures and cloud-based platforms (Azure).

Responsabilités

• Lead design and implementation of modern infrastructure to support secure, scalable health systems.
• Build and optimize Microsoft Fabric to unify structured and unstructured data across platforms.
• Support the safe, effective use of AI technologies like LLMs through Azure-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with program teams and vendors to integrate secure SaaS solutions and automate workflows using Power Platform.
• Strengthen cyber-resilience through proactive system hardening and HIPAA-compliant architecture.
