Job summary

The State of Alaska is seeking an IT Systems Administrator at levels 1–3 to help transform health systems across Alaska. You will design, implement, and secure infrastructure, unifying data and enabling AI solutions via Azure while collaborating with program teams and vendors.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of hardware, networks, operating systems, systems integration, and testing, with experience in government or public sector environments. Telework options may be available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of hardware, software and networks; ability to configure and troubleshoot equipment.
• Knowledge of architecture and typology of software, hardware, and networks; LANs/WANs.
• Knowledge of operating systems and their applications.
• Knowledge of integrating and optimizing IT components; ensuring system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of modern infrastructure for secure, scalable health systems.
• Build and optimize Microsoft Fabric to unify data across platforms.
• Support Azure-based infrastructure and AI/Large Language Models.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate secure SaaS solutions and automate workflows using Power Platform.
• Strengthen cyber-resilience with system hardening and HIPAA-compliant architecture.
