Job summary

State of Alaska seeks a Database Administrator at levels 1–3 to lead health data pipelines, model design, and BI reporting. This role focuses on integrating data from EHRs and surveillance platforms, collaborating with health programs to deliver scalable data solutions.

The successful candidate will modernize data infrastructure with governance and cloud-first practices while supporting statewide decision-making through advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing health data models and pipelines.
• Strong SQL/DB design and data governance knowledge.
• Proficiency with Power BI, DAX, and data visualization concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of enterprise health data pipelines and databases.
• Architect and maintain Power BI semantic models and dashboards for statewide decisions.
