Job summary

The University of Miami Health System, commonly known as UHealth, is seeking a Full-time IT Portfolio Manager for Health Applications. You will oversee programs within the PMO, align projects with strategic priorities, and work closely with IT leadership to optimize delivery of clinical IT initiatives including Epic implementations.

Responsibilities include budgeting, resource planning, change control, and portfolio reporting, with collaboration from CMIO and nursing leadership to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, health informatics, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with Epic applications or Epic EMR certified preferred.
• PM/Portfolio management experience in healthcare IT with strong clinical application implementations.
• Knowledge of agile approaches and healthcare regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer clinical application programs within the Health Applications portfolio, including Epic implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Collaborate with CMIO, nursing leadership, and department heads to align priorities with clinical goals.
• Lead intake, assess capacity vs. demand, and ensure enterprise alignment.
• Budgets, resource planning, monitoring portfolio health, and reporting to executives.
• Provide oversight for project managers and ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Manage change control and risk oversight for clinical systems and patient safety.
