Job summary

County of Sonoma seeks an experienced Health Information Technology Manager to lead IT operations within the Department of Health Services. You will manage critical health information systems, including electronic health records, and drive strategic IT initiatives across the department, coordinating with the California Mental Health Services Authority and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience planning, developing and administering multiple, complex information technology systems and applications, including one year of supervisory or lead responsibility.
• The equivalent to graduation from a four-year college with major coursework in business analysis, project management, management information systems, computer science, statistics, or closely related field.
• Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate level; if required by CA, as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental information technology operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve technology goals (e.g., EHR procurement, enterprise software solutions, contracting and procurement, behavioral health EHR).
• Plan and implement strategic initiatives related to IT operations.
• Act as liaison between the California Mental Health Services Authority and the Department of Health Services for technical deliverables.
• Manage systems specific to the department and supervise staff contributing to operations.
