Job summary

The City of Irving is seeking a qualified Sanitarian/Code Enforcement Officer to inspect food establishments, childcare facilities, and other regulated sites to ensure compliance with city, state and federal codes. A Bachelor’s degree, with at least 30 semester hours in science, and two years of relevant experience required. Must have an appropriate Texas driver’s license and have, or be able to obtain within a specified timeframe, Sanitarian and Code Enforcement Officer licenses. A résumé must be submitted with application.

PAY GRADE GG18 / FULL PAY RANGE $26.72 - $37.67 PER HOUR

The mission of the Inspections Department is to serve developers and contractors in meeting their goals and to verify code and ordinance compliance to protect the public. The Inspections Department issues building and related permits and inspects both new construction and remodels.
