Job summary

Georgetown Community Hospital is seeking a Health Information Management Technician. The role involves analyzing medical records for chart deficiencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and assigning gaps to the correct medical staff.

You will retrieve, log, and print records for doctors, patients, and other facilities. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in release of information.

How you'll contribute

A Health Information Management Technician who excels in this role:

• Analyzes the assembled medical record for chart completion deficiencies in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical staff rules and regulations.
• Ensures any deficiencies are assigned to the appropriate medical staff member and data is entered for tracking and monitoring purposes.
• Retrieves, logs, and prints medical records as requested by physician offices, patients, other hospitals, and other entities as needed.
• Performs data entry for stillbirth records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in release of information practices is preferred.

Schedule:Part Time: Flexible Schedule - 5 days/week @ 4 hours/day or 3 days/week with longer hours. Start time between 8:00AM - 10:00AM

Location:Position is in Versailles, KY however, initial training will be in Georgetown. Must be willing to commute.
