Job summary

Terros Health is seeking a Health Information Specialist for our Central Avenue location. The role reports to the Director of Informatics and focuses on managing medical records from enrollment through closure while educating staff on Corporate Compliance Standards.

This full-time position offers a Hybrid Schedule with no weekends. Ideal candidates have experience in Behavioral Health and Medical Records/HIM settings, with NextGen experience or NCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Behavioral Health and Medical Records/HIM department setting preferred.
• Experience with NextGen EMR is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Answer department phone lines, voicemails, and emails to assist patients, requesters, and other departments.
• Update and apply knowledge to duties and system usage.
• Use the Electronic Medical Record system to set up functions, enter data or process information.
• Manage special projects and process improvement tasks as assigned.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with staff and departments.
