Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Health Information Technician preferred.
• Experience with EHR systems and medical record management.
• Familiarity with release of information processes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Aufgaben

• Assures quality and completion of tasks within the EHR application system.
• Monitors transcription interface and uploads; processes transcribed reports within set time frames.
• Trains providers on dictation system and EHR applications related to the electronic medical record.
• Operates transcription software to monitor workflow and completion activities.
• Maintains Master Patient Index and assists with portal enrollment and support.
• Handles release of information requests for walk-in and urgent needs.
