Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical records
• Ability to use fax, copier, scanners and email
• Basic medical terminology knowledge is a plus
• Understanding HIPAA and privacy regulations

Responsibilities

• Process written and verbal health information requests
• Open mail and verify proper authorization
• Locate records using EHR, microfilm, or archiving systems
• Reproduce/copy health information
• Enter requests into ROI tracking software
• Fax/mailer/email records to requestors
• Answer ROI related phone calls
• Assist with other office duties
