Health Information Operations Supervisor

The Health Information Operations Supervisor is responsible for client/customer service and serves as a knowledge expert for the HIS staff. The role focuses on front line people management and training, as well as ensuring processes are completed in compliance with established guidelines. This role may also assist leadership with planning, developing, and implementing departmental or regional projects. This role provides support to the Health Information Operations Manager. The Health Information Operations Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining workflow and productivity of HIS's as well as handling escalated situations and driving a positive work environment. The Health Information Operations Supervisor will also assist in the new hire process, meeting with clients, and developing staff at multiple sites.

This is a hybrid role that will require some travel around the Manchester, CT and surrounding areas.

You will:

  1. Have a passion to lead, train and motivate a growing and excited team.
  2. Communicate and collaborate with leadership on issues, opportunities, or challenges.
  3. Lead Audit Team which receives requests from Payors.
  4. Review data and provide client and leadership solutions.
  5. Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders.
  6. Manage the requests coming in from the Risk Management Team of the client.
  7. Be the leader of client locations and plan for fluctuating needs.
  8. Oversee the escalation calls from our centralized call centers.
  9. Participate in project teams and committees to advance operational strategies and initiatives.
  10. Coordinate with location/client management on complex issues while building a strong relationship.

What you will bring to the table:

  1. A true leadership philosophy in which the goal of the leader is to serve.
  2. Ability to support clients and your team working both on-site and remotely.
  3. 1-2 years of health information related experience.
  4. Well-versed with HIPAA standards.
  5. A knack for presenting to leadership, clients, and your team via video or in person.
  6. Solution provider and forward thinking.
  7. Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records.
  8. Power BI, MS Office.
  9. EMR experience with EPIC or Cerner.
  10. Previous production/metric-based work experience.
  11. Team building and experience elevating individuals’ careers.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $27.88 - $32.21 USD.

The estimated base salary range (not including bonus/commission) for this role is: $27.88 - $32.21 USD.
